Rijk Zwaan has developed an app to improve the efficiency and personalisation of visits to its demo fields around the world. The app is now available for download in Android and iOS versions.
From 2-4 September, Rijk Zwaan will once again be exhibiting at Asia Fruit Logistica. By presenting a variety of innovative products, Rijk Zwaan demonstrates to its Asian chain partners that broadening the fresh produce category can boost fruit and vegetable consumption.
On 8 and 9 July Rijk Zwaan organised the Global Melon & Watermelon Event in Spain, with a focus on global trends and how to fulfil the requirements of the whole food chain.
Rijk Zwaan held the Global Gherkin Days on 6 and 7 July 2015. More than 200 participants from 22 countries gathered in Germany to exchange knowledge and ideas about gherkins.

The International Bremia Evaluation Board (IBEB) has officially designated a new race of downy mildew in lettuce: Bl:32. The large majority of Rijk Zwaan’s Bl:16-31-resistant varieties are also resistant to this new race.
On 1 April the Trial Center Tomato in Kwintsheul reopened its doors to visitors for another new season. Rijk Zwaan has further developed its tomato range in all segments and is keen to give people the opportunity to view its existing and new varieties alike.
From 9th until 13th February, Rijk Zwaan organized its annual International Winter Open Field Days in Spain. Rijk Zwaan presented ten winter crops, over 300 varieties and several innovative production systems to an international crowd in Murcia.
