Global Melon & Watermelon event

On 4 and 5 July 2018, Rijk Zwaan will hold a global melon & watermelon event based around the theme of supply excellence and innovation.

Networking with partners

This international event will provide an innovation-based setting for networking with partners from throughout the entire food chain to develop year-round supply projects in order to offer retailers consistently high-quality fresh produce.

Innovation is key

Rijk Zwaan strives to establish close cooperation with the retail channel to better understand consumer needs. This enables the vegetable breeding company to provide category managers with the right tools and the healthiest solutions to satisfy the end consumer. Innovation is already key for retailers to set themselves apart. A global approach will reinforce the visibility of the innovativeness and of the distinctive quality of the fresh produce offering all year round.

The two keynote speakers will be Roberto García, Director of Innovation from Cajamar, and Miguel Ángel Bolaños, Category Manager Fruit from the grocery chain Consum. Together, they will paint a picture of the future scenario within the agrifood sector and Spanish retail to help us understand both the threats and the opportunities that lie ahead.
