As one of the global frontrunners in the area of vegetable plant breeding, Rijk Zwaan is keen to share its vision with those in the trade and other interested parties and is the reason why the company is sending speakers to various authoritative symposia.
On 24 August, Anton van Doornmalen (photo) spoke at the 2 x 2 ‘Pure and Healthy’ Symposium, a symposium on fruit and vegetable consumption and buying behaviour, which took place at Tomatoworld in Honselersdijk (the Netherlands).The former director and present chairman of the Advisory Board of Rijk Zwaan disclosed a number of strategies for increasing fruit and vegetable consumption.
Research Manager Rob Dirks takes the floor in the Networking Event Green Genetics, which takes place in NBC Nieuwegein (the Netherlands) on 22 September. He will be giving a presentation about the backgrounds to ‘Reverse breeding’, a new, innovative plant breeding technique which offers many possibilities for the future.
Director Marco van Leeuwen lends his assistance to the Dutch National Horticultural Congress held in the Holiday Inn, Leiden, on 25 November 2010.
