On Thursday Rijk Zwaan played host to its Dutch customers, and international guests were invited for friday. This was a one-off chance for them all to see for themselves what hygiene measures Rijk Zwaan has taken in De Vesting. With these measures, Rijk Zwaan is able to totally meet the newest hygiene protocol for the production of tomato seed, which was specified jointly by the Dutch and French seed companies and plant raisers.

After a presentation about seed production at Rijk Zwaan in De Vesting there followed a guided tour, organised in line with the stringent hygiene measures. From now on De Vesting will be accessible only to people who have a job to do there.
