At Rijk Zwaan Promex, the first production plants are growing. In a few months’ time, the first crop of tomato, pepper, cucumber and aubergine seed will be harvested here.

As far as facilities are concerned, the modern glasshouse nursery in Mexico is a copy of De Vesting, the production nursery opened recently in the Netherlands. With these new production nurseries Rijk Zwaan expects to be able to comply fully with the newest hygiene protocol, as determined jointly by the Dutch and French seed companies and plant raisers.
