As in any other business, Rijk Zwaan uses many complex processes. Decisions pertaining to these processes are made continuously. This is why we try to understand these processes and to improve them with the help of data.

Systems such as Qlik Sense and Cognos are currently being used, as well as programming languages such as R and Python to read, analyse and interpret data. Furthermore, we use predictive analytical techniques, such as statistical modelling, pattern recognition, image recognition, machine learning and deep learning. We use these techniques to detect patterns in our data, improve lead times and efficiency, and increase quality.
